Shatterbox Theatre Company is a non-profit organization based out of Prince Edward County, Ontario. Shatterbox as a whole is composed of a multitude of creative minds, influences, and skills, all with the goal of bringing inspired, unconventional, and reimagined theatre to the community of Prince Edward County and surrounding areas. Since the creation of the company back in 2018 audiences have been given unique theatrical experiences, while local actors of all ages have the opportunities to learn from theatre professionals throughout each production.
Each show selection is carefully selected to ensure that it not only meets the mission and values of Shatterbox, but also is able to highlight relevant issues within our community. Shatterbox productions range in scale, from two-actor productions with minimalist set, to a musical of over 20 actors and countless stage hands and production support crew. Through each production, the continuous goal of maintaining our three foundational pillars is essential, for it is not only the show that the audience sees that must express these values, but the entire experience for cast and crew as well. We strive to bring continuous growth and learning to the production and rehearsal processes, and are steadfast in the belief that collective learning and growth is a critical part of the art process.
As a licensed non-profit organization in Canada, Shatterbox Theatre Company now has a Board of Directors! This has been a very exciting and fundamental step in the organization and we are thrilled to announce our Board!
