The historic Regent Theatre is the Entertainment Heartbeat of Prince Edward County, providing the community with a unique venue for live performances. First run movies, art films and an international satellite feed fine arts program (opera, dance, theatre) round out the offerings of The Regent, making it a diverse venue that truly reflects its community.
The Regent’s generous stage is one of the largest in Eastern Ontario. Above the stage is a 18.7 metre (62 foot) fly tower. Original dressing rooms below the stage include blackboards lining the walls where, in a former era, performers wrote their show’s running order. The Regent seats over 400 guests and includes a canteen featuring County Wine and Craft Beer, which you can enjoy before and during the show! Located just a mile from the Sand Banks Provincial Park, The Local Store is within the expansive walls of a restored 19th century dairy barn offering a unique venue for our performances. The Local Store was created to showcase and promote authentic Prince Edward County products all under one roof. The Local is proud to have the work of over 120 County Artists, Artisans and over 30 local food producers. The Local Store is also home to The Loft Fine Art Gallery and Hayloft Antiques. “If it’s made in Prince Edward County Ontario you will likely find it here.”You’ll find fabulous pottery, jewelry, basketry, wood working, prints, soaps, glasswork, original works of art and books by local artists. Climb the stairs and be awed by the vastness of the old hay loft that is now The Loft Fine Art Gallery showcasing the amazing art of local residents.
